HANS HOLLEIN
Exhibition | Universalmuseum Joanneum | Graz | 27.11.2011–09.04.2012
This comprehensive retrospective of world-famous designer and architect Hans Hollein is the first to feature his artistic work. Since the 1970s, his career has been closely associated with the history of the Neue Galerie in Graz. The exhibition focuses on Hollein’s artistic output, which since the 1980s has increasingly lapsed into oblivion. It pays tribute to Hollein – who collaborated with other important artists such as Christo, Oldenburg and Beuys – and his ‘universality’ and re-establishes him in public awareness.
